This product has been manufactured and tested to the highest quality standards by RedGuard Diversified Services, LLC, dba Survive-a-Storm Shelters (SAS) is warranty covers defects in material or workmanship for new products. is warranty extends to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. Only consumers purchasing our products from authorized dealers, retailers, or resellers, or through our website may obtain coverage under our limited warranties.
We warrant this product against defects in material or workmanship as follows: We will replace at no charge for parts only or, at its option, replace any product or part of the product that proves defective because of improper workmanship and/or material, under normal installation, use, service, and maintenance. If we are unable to provide a replacement and repair is not practical or cannot be made in a timely fashion, we may elect to refund the purchase price in exchange for the return of the product.
The warranty is in effect for the lifetime of the product from the documented date of purchase as established by a written sales order or receipt. In order for this warranty to remain in force after the first anniversary of purchase, the purchaser must within 30 days of each anniversary of purchase, submit to the manufacturer a minimum of five color photographs showing the exterior of the door, the stairway(s) if an underground safe room, the door hinges, the floor, and the sidewalls of the safe room. Purchaser should take special care to photograph any damage to the safe room so that the manufacturer may, at its sole and exclusive option, take steps to mitigate such damage.
Our warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by: A. Conditions, malfunctions, or damage not resulting from defects in materials or workmanship. B. Conditions, malfunctions, or damage resulting from normal wear and tear, improper installation, improper maintenance, misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, or alteration. C. Accessories, connected materials, and products, or related products not manufactured by us.
We will only provide coverage under this warranty if proof of purchase can be established to its satisfaction through receipt or sales order.
Defects in the installation will be covered under this warranty only if the product is installed by the manufacturer or factory-authorized installer. is warranty is void if, in the sole and exclusive assessment of the manufacturer, the product has been altered or modified in such a way
as to affect the structure or soundness of the product or if such alterations or modifications are found by the manufacturer to have contributed to the failure of the product.

In your claim, please provide a copy of the original proof of purchase including the address at which the product is situated. Provide your contact phone number along with an e-mail address (if available), a written description of the problem, and photographs depicting the defect in materials or workmanship. You can expect to hear from a representative of our company within two weeks of receipt of your warranty claim.
The manufacturer specifically disclaims and will be held harmless for any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of use of the shelter and any injury or loss that may arise pursuant thereto.

No one is FEMA approved but we are FEMA compliant.

Is above as safe as below?
They are actually safer. There are cases of people being trapped in their underground shelter due to debris on the door or opening. There is a chance, if in hurricane prone areas, of flooding due to the amount of water that comes down in a hurricane versus a tornado.
Which shelters are less expensive?
Above-ground shelters are significantly cheaper than below-ground.
Do you have a safe room?
Above-ground shelters starting at the 4x6/6x4 and up double as safe rooms as they are built with ¼” ballistic grade steel. The 4x4 is made of the same steel but due to the locking mechanism, it does not double as a saferoom.
Are your shelters tested?
All of our shelters are tested at the Texas Tech Wind Institute for wind and debris. They are all rated for EF5 Tornados and to withstand 250 MPH winds.
Will the delivery include putting my shelter in place?
No, our delivery company is advertised as a curbside service. The customer will need a way to move the shelter to their desired location.
How will I know how to install the shelter?
We will provide installation information and specs. There will be a hammer-drill required if the shelter is above-ground. We send all required hardware.
What about phone service in the shelter?
The service you have in your shelter is dependent upon your area and the type of service you already have. If you already do not have good service, more than likely, you will not have good service in the shelter.
How does the GeoLocator service work?
In a sense, the customer will provide us with 3 wellness contacts (emergency contacts). If there is a tornado warning in their area, we will call the customer 3 times. If we are unable to make contact, we will call their wellness contacts. If they are still unable to make contact, we will contact the local EMA or Fire Department and make them aware of the fact that we have a shelter at XXXX location and have not been able to makcontact so that they can ensure the customer and their family are safe.
We are the largest producer member for the NSSA.
NSSA has never had a shelter fail in the event of a tornado.
Our shelters are American made.
GarageCubes are not waterproof due to their ventilation on the top of the shelter. They are not designed to be in an open slab.
Are your shelters ADA compliant?
The Extreme 6x4/4x6 and larger models do offer an ADA compliant, in-ward swinging door.
Are your shelters engineered?
We do have engineering for our shelters as well as the slab specifications for the shelters.

In the event, you have made a custom or made to order products cannot be canceled or refunded as these products are put into production specifically for your order.
These units, are custom made to your specification or created once you order. Once you place your order they start building your unit. Your warranty will guarantee you a fully functional and operational product. If it is not clear whether your order is custom or made to order, please message or call us.
